Lentejas de abuela Elia (Jardras)

Ingredients
How you do this?
  • 4 cups of broth (veggie or chicken) Bring to a boil add the lentils cook for 10 minutes (if you are in USA lentils break very fast) until tender. Add cumin, salt, pepper, and allspice. 
  • Turn down heat....add rice and allow to simmer for about 10 minutes. 
  • In a soup pot heat olive oil. Add the onion (julianas) Julienne pieces of an onion and garlic. Saute until onion and garlic are translucent aside (dontttt mix yet)
  • Add the lemon juice and olive oil- toooo taste
